What Happens Next?
Referral Confirmation and Initial Contact After receiving your referral form, we will assign the therapist most suited to your client's needs. The therapist will contact you (the referral source) within one business day to confirm receipt of the referral and discuss the services requested. After discussing the referral with you, the therapist will then contact the client by the end of the next business day. If you would like us to contact the client directly, please note this on the referral form and we will not contact you prior to making contact with the client.
Initial Meeting/Assessment For clients living within the Halifax Regional Municipality, we do our best to ensure that the initial meeting with the client takes place within 7 to 14 business days from the date of referral. We are pleased to offer our services throughout Nova Scotia (including Cape Breton) and attempt to prorate all services in order to be cost effective. Please speak with the therapist to discuss timelines for those clients residing outside of the HRM.
Written Report Following the initial meeting, we aim to have a written report to the referral source within 14 to 21 business days. If these timelines are not suitable, please discuss this with your Harbourside therapist who will work with you to develop an acceptable timeline.
